Jack Chick

A woodturner and Wood Carver from Pueblo, Colorado.

Jack specializes in ornamental turnings, bowls with natural edges and segmented bowls. He first tried woodturning in High School in 1950. After many years of working he retired from his job as a computer consultant. At that time he again took up this pastime.

He is a past member of the American Association of Woodturners,  a  past member of the Pueblo Woodturners and a past member of Pikes Peak Woodturners.

He teaches the art of woodturning and mentors new students in his shop at home.

All of Jack's work is original, one of a kind and very time consuming to produce. He constantly strives to find new ways to create or enhance his work. While searching for new ideas he discovered Ornamental turning, a way to add many different designs to his turned objects. The problem was that these machines have not been produced for many years, or are prohibitively expensive. So he decided to build his own. If you would like to build one he has included plans that you may use.
